Real results from real projects.

After a second flood, I realized the flooring I was sold wasn’t actually waterproof and had to be removed. I couldn’t afford another mistake. Alan helped me choose the right floor for my situation, made the house look great, and kept costs under control.

Mary, Waterloo

We were told our floor couldn’t be done because of height differences. Al explained the real issues, suggested solutions, and connected us with the right contractor. He even caught product issues during installation that would have been visible later.

Stephen B., Waterloo

We were quoted $12K for carpet and $18K for hardwood and something didn’t feel right. He reviewed everything, identified where the costs were inflated, and even helped renegotiate with the store. We ended up with a much better price.

Maya, Kitchener

Still unsure if this makes sense for you?

Can’t I just trust the flooring store?

Flooring stores can absolutely be helpful. The challenge is that they’re there to sell product, and their advice is naturally tied to what they carry and what moves.

I’m a second set of eyes, focused on what actually fits your space, budget and long-term expectations.

Do you work with certain brands or stores?

No.

I don’t sell flooring, and I don’t get anything from stores or contractors. That’s intentional.
That lets me focus entirely on what makes the most sense for your project.

I’ve done this before, do I really need help?

You might not.

But every home, layout, product, and installation is different. A lot of problems happen when past experience doesn’t quite match the current situation. If everything looks straightforward, I’ll tell you that.

I’ve already started… is it too late to bring you in?

Not at all. Most people don’t start from scratch.

If you already have quotes, samples, or a contractor lined up, that actually gives us something real to review before you commit.

Is this worth paying for?

That depends on how comfortable you are making the decision on your own.

For some people, everything goes smoothly. For others, one missed detail ends up costing far more later.

Will this slow my project down?

Usually the opposite.

Most project problems come from unclear expectations, product mismatches, or installation surprises. Catching those early tends to make the entire process smoother.

Why this is different.

Most flooring advice is tied to selling something. This isn’t.

Flooring Stores 🛒

• Focused on selling products
• Limited to what’s in-store
• Recommendations tied to inventory

Contractors 🛠

• Focused on getting the job done
• Less involved in product decisions
• Not always reviewing long-term fit

D.I.Y. 🧰

• Full control over decisions
• Requires research and experience
• Easy to miss important details
